Hi my name is Spencer and for Tongan language week I chose Steven Adams who is Tongan and Maori. Steven Adams is the only person from New Zealand to make the NBA so far. Steven Adams also has a sister. Her name is Valerie Adams and is known for winning a gold medal at shot put in the olympics. Steven is currently the only person to throw a ball from half court into the hoop with only one hand, during a game. He is very tall, standing at 2.11 meters. His position for the New Orlean Pelicans is Center and was also playing for the OKC Thunder. He is the youngest in his family. Steven Adams was born in 1993, (New Zealand Rotorua). He has only made one three pointer in his career.
Fun Fact: Steven Adams has 17 siblings.
Hi Spencer what a fantastic piece of writing. Mahi pai! The Adams family is certainly talented. I guess being tall is helpful for basketball - Steven Adams is almost half a metre taller than me! I think he is a great example of where hard work can take us. Keep up the good work Spencer!
